The Classics, Colombia's new classic film festival, kicks off this Friday and we're delighted to be supporting the inaugural edition with a number of titles appearing in the line-up.
Founded by the team behind Bogota's independent film festival, IndieBo, The Classics builds on its predecessor's success with screening classic films for contemporary audiences in presenting a programme dedicated to the magic of discovering and rediscovering vintage films on the big screen.
This year's selections span genre and generations, and boasts a number of significant new restorations and special anniversary celebrations. Young cinephiles can enjoy 3D presentations of The Lion King and Beauty and the Beast, sci-fi super fans get to mark milestones for Close Encounters Of The Third Kind and Predator, while studio-era Hollywood is ably represented by the likes of and Vertigo.
