HAMMER COLLECTION We are proud to represent one of the largest collection of films produced by the legendary Hammer Studios. Titles include Rasputin The Mad Monk, Dracula Prince of Darkness, Countess Dracula and Twins of Evil. Featuring Christopher Lee, Ingrid Pitt, Peter Cushing and many more.

CITY OF GOD Director Fernando Meirelles combines visual flashiness with dark history in telling the story of three decades of unrest in underground Rio de Janiero. Technically flawless, the Brazilian film uses a rapid-cutting style to flash back and forth in time. Cinematographer Cesar Charlone shoots with an overexposed glow in a film that may seem numb to violence, but reveres photography.

THE SHAWSHANK REDEMPTION This beautifully crafted movie features touching and sincere performances from the entire cast, with an uplifting message about humanity's indomitable spirit and the redemptive value of hope. Based on the novella RITA HAYWORTH AND SHAWSHANK REDEMPTION by Stephen King, Darabont's intriguing adaptation is easily one of the finest films of the 1990s.

QUENTIN TARANTINO

PULP FICTION Writer-director Quentin Tarantino revisits the seedier side of Los Angeles with this funny, violent, tongue-in-cheek tribute to the less "classic" side of filmmaking, the potboilers and capers, the Blaxploitation flicks and gangster movies.

KILL BILL 1 & 2 Turning up the style and energy levels that he kept under a threshold with 1997's JACKIE BROWN, Tarantino's obvious glee and reverence for the underground kung fu action pictures of the '70s, and Sergio Leone spaghetti westerns, makes for a stunning visual spectacle. Employing split screens, slow-motion, an anime sequence, and his trademark ultra-hip musical selections, Tarantino's film dares viewers to be unimpressed.

BRIMSTONE & TREACLE Taken from the Dennis Hopper play, this film is the sinister tale of a strange young man, Martin Taylor (Sting), who worms his way into the house of a middle aged couple, Mr & Mrs Bates (Denholm Elliot and Joan Plowright). Having gained their trust he lusts after their comatosed daughter (Suzanna Hamilton) and creates havoc.

THE FACE OF FU MANCHU The sinister oriental villain of the famous Sax Rohmer novels returns to the screen yet again, with Christopher Lee playing the title role. Fu's evil daughter is played by Tsai Chin in an exciting adventure thriller.

Also available: Blood of Fu Manchu, Brides of Fu Manchu, Castle of Fu Manchu and Vengeance of Fu Manchu.

MEAN STREETS Mean Streets is the film in which Scorsese blossomed into one of the world's most ferociously distinct visionaries, a vision which has, for better or worse, become one of the most mimicked in the history of modern cinema. While his usage of a nostalgic pop music soundtrack, long one-takes, handheld cameras and brutally realistic performances, spawned a generation of imitators, Mean Streets proves that while others may try to imitate, there is only one original. Mean Streets is a work of sheer cinematic bravado.

Other Martin Scorsese titles also available: Taxi Driver (new prints), Raging Bull (new print and digitally), New York, New York, The Last Waltz, Boxcar Bertha, Bringing Out The Dead, Kundun and The Aviator.

DEAD RINGERS Dead Ringers is a tense psychological thriller. Elliot and Beverly are identical twins (both played by Jeremy Irons) who turn into world-renowned gynaecologists. Both are troubled by the unbreakable bond between them as they share everything from their clinic to their women. This is until they meet Claire. Whilst Elliot enjoys seducing her, Beverly falls in love with her and wishes to break the ties between him and his brother in order to become closer to her. However, as his attempt to love unravels, so does his sanity and it becomes apparent that madness as well as blood ties the brothers together, with chilling consequences.

THE RAVEN Not only does this atmospheric AIP horror-comedy feature Boris Karloff, Vincent Price and Peter Lorre, but it also stars a young Jack Nicholson. Add a funny script by Richard Matheson and deft direction by Roger Corman and this is unbeatable fun, a perfect Halloween film for the whole family.

Also available by Roger Corman: Bloody Mama, The Trip, The Wild Angels, The Tomb of Ligeia, The Secret Invasion, The Masque of the Red Death, X, The Haunted Palace, The Young Racers, Tower of London, Tales of Terror, Pit and The Pendulum and The House of Usher.
