Dancing Lady

When Tod Newton (Franchot Tone) discovers Janie 'Duchess' Barlow (Joan) dancing in a burlesque house, he offers to help her get a part in a real Broadway musical being directed by his friend, Patch (Clark Gable). Tod expects more than a mere thank you from Janie, Patch is convinced Janie is all personality and no talent, whilst at the same time, Janie finds herself falling hopelessly in love with Patch.
