28 Days Later

Jim, a bicycle courier who has been involved in a traffic accident, awakens from a coma to an empty infirmary room and, after investigating further, finds the whole hospital deserted and the streets of London void of life. After being attacked by a group of crazed, bloodthirsty zombies, he is rescued by Selena and Mark; two survivors who explain that the country, and perhaps the globe, has been ravaged by a powerful virus which locks its victims into a permanent state of murderous rage and has transformed the world around them into a seemingly desolate wasteland. Banding together with other survivors, Jim follows a pre-recorded radio broadcast coming from a military blockade near Manchester, but the worst may be yet to come in their fight for survival.
