You Were Never Lovelier

Scheming to spark an interest in romance in his eldest daughter in order to prepare her for marriage, an Argentinean nightclub owner’s plans go awry when Maria mistakes penniless American dancer, Robert Davis for her fictional admirer. Desperate to land a contract in the nightclub, Robert agrees to help Maria’s father - but both men find their plans in jeopardy when Robert falls in love and Maria’s father threatens to expose their agreement if the dancer doesn’t leave town.
