Navajo Joe

Burt Reynolds stars in this lusty, gutsy action western about a fearless Indian with a relentless vendetta against a band of outlaws that killed his people. Sergio Corbucci’s Italian/Spanish Spaghetti Western boasts a fine score by Ennio Morricone and more visceral thrills than you can through a horse blanket at.

Having massacred an Indian village, an outlaw falls victim to a solitary rider, Navajo Joe. Joe then steals the train back from the outlaw’s gang and asks the townspeople of Esperanza to pay him to protect them from the gang, making an offer of "a dollar a head from every man in this town for every bandit I kill". The townspeople reject him, as they "don't make bargains with Indians." The scene is set for a showdown. Navajo Joe is a great Western and one of the best films of Reynold’s early career.
