Dust off your Kangol cap, turn up the ‘70s Soul and join us this September in celebrating 25 years of QT's all-star homage to the blaxploitation boom by bringing Jackie Brown back to the big screen.
Supported by anniversary artwork and a trailer, new social assets, plus a publicity campaign, this criminally underrated masterwork showcases a breathtaking performance from the incomparable badass that is Pam Grier – who triumphs alongside a cast of Robert De Niro, Samuel L. Jackson, Michael Keaton, and the late, great Robert Forster.
200+ cinemas across the UK & Ireland plus selected international territories, including Vue, Odeon, Picturehouse and BFI Southbank, will screen the classic 1997 film – also coinciding with a major new retrospective ‘Pam Grier: Foxy, Fierce and Fearless’. The season running at BFI Southbank from 1 September - 4 October, programmed by film scholar Mia Mask.
Grier is also set to visit the UK at the time of release and will be involved in Q&A events 10-11 September at BFI Southbank (London), Ritzy Picturehouse (Brixton, London) and MAC Birmingham.
25 years on, Jackie Brown is ready to stake its claim as the very best there is... accept no substitutes.
