The Cabinet of Dr Caligari

While driving the back country roads at night, Jane’s car breaks down, leaving her stranded. She wanders on to a sprawling estate and eventually finds a mension. Caligari answers the door and invites the girl to spend the night, assuring her he’ll have the car repaired in the morning. Jane accepts the offer but when she wakes, she finds she is no longer a guest, but a prisoner. Refusing to let her leave, Caligari forces Jane to view pornographic materials and questions her about intimate details of her love life, as well as spys on her while she bathes. Also at the mansion is a group of fellow ‘guests’, but are they there of their own accord or not? They don’t seem eager to leave, or to help Jane escape, so it is up to her alone to figure out the secrets behind the mysterious Caligari.
