Synopsis:

Directed by the acclaimed Hou Hsiao Hsien (City of Sadness, Cafe Lumiere) and selected for the Un Certain Regard category at the 2007 Cannes Film Festival, Flight of the Red Balloon is his first film made outside Asia and is a feature-length homage to the award-winning French short The Red Balloon.

Juliette Binoche stars as single-parent Suzanne, a puppeteer struggling to bring up her son, Simon, in contemporary Paris.
