Description

Korda's darlings, Laurence Olivier and Vivien Leigh, star in this tale of murder and its unforeseen consequences. Keith Durrant (Leslie Banks) is a successful lawyer whose career is set to take off until his wayward brother, Larry (Laurence Olivier) arrives having killed the ex-husband of his girlfriend Wanda (Vivien Leigh). Keith is left with the decision of whether to stand by his brother or his career, but in the meantime a tramp is arrested and charged with the murder. In celebration, Larry and Wanda live life to the full for twenty-one days before Larry decides to give himself up. But when the tramp dies in police custody, Larry is left with a moral dilemma.
